I recently watched Madagascar 3, and it turned out much better than I expected, mainly due to the music….
I’ve been given my choice and met my supervisor, and I’ve now been given the green light to begin my Honours project.
I’ll be developing a social network in an educational setting, with a research focus on private messaging and privacy – doing a better job at it than other platforms.
Bring it on….
I’m getting excited again for James Bond films….
I have until this coming Wednesday to make a decision. Probably the most important one in my academic career – picking out my Honours project. I’ve to decide from a list of 91, and narrow them down to my top 3 explaining why I’d like to take them on.
The projects are all very interesting as they represent different areas of research, not making it easy to narrow them down. If it comes to it, I may just roll some dice and let randomness decide.
It’s now official. I’ve spent the past few weeks going on and on about it, and I’ve backed my talk by doing the deed.
I’ve finally signed up to run the 2013 Edinburgh marathon, and I’m going to raise funds for the MS Society.
Check out my JustGiving page to see what the story is, give a little something and spread the word!!
Mission objectives for 2012-13:
- Graduate with a 1st Class Honours degree
- Complete the 2013 Edinburgh marathon
- Save up for 30-day post-graduation tour round Europe
- Figure out what to do next
4th year has arrived. I’m setting the bar quite high in gunning for a 1st Class Honours, so my A-game will need to be switched on throughout. I also foresee a fair amount of all-nighters in the near future.
I’m only a couple of weeks into my training, but with 9 months to go until the marathon I’m confident I can complete it (perhaps even set a target time somewhere down the road) as long as I stick to the plan.
A month-long holiday touring Europe. Seems like a brilliant way to celebrate graduation. All there is to do is figure out who my travelling companions will be, where we’ll go (and sleep) and save up for it all….
And at some point, I have to decide what to do next. Choices are:
- Find a job in the web design/development industry
- Attempt to work freelance
- Do a Masters degree, then look at options 1 and 2
The next several months are going to be very busy months, and I look forward to it!
