Not a movie I would typically associate with Arnold Schwarzenegger, but it’s enjoyable holiday viewing nonetheless….
This probably gets shown on TV every year, but still worth watching after all these years….
And so it begins: snow, lights, festivities, presents and of course Christmas movies….
This Finnish movie looks like a very different take on the tale of Santa and I very much look forward to checking it out.
With the holidays round the corner, I’ll have a theme running. Last year I posted a series of Christmas songs. Not songs that were simply released during this time, they were songs about Christmas. This time round, I’ll go with movies.
A month of posts about movies involving the festive holidays. Now to start putting together a list….
Recently I went to see the movie adaptation of the musical Rock of Ages, and I thought it was amazing.
It kinda played out like a 2 hour 80’s rock video with a wafer-thin plot, but none of that mattered. I loved the songs used, and the performances were top notch. Catherine Zeta-Jones knew exactly what she was doing, having previously starred in Chicago and Tom Cruise’s vocals were unexpectedly awesome.
I’m now going to have the soundtrack stuck in my head for quite some time….
This teaser trailer just looks awesome, with videogaming villains getting their own movie….
This weekend I’ll be attending a birthday party. It’s a “Back To The Future” themed party, so at some point this week all 3 movies will be watched in one sitting and a costume will need to be assembled.
There’s a fair amount of scope for picking out what to wear. Granted, the films start in the 1980’s but of course Marty McFly and the Doc end up in different eras throughout the films. For now I reckon some sort of sheriff-style outfit based on Part 3 would be pretty awesome. It would have been a bit much to somehow dress up as a DeLorean, and no doubt someone else will go as the Doc or as Marty. Besides, sheriff outfits are always cool.
